"ATLAS has created the anthem of this summer, next summer and for summers in decades to come"
- Billboard -
Born on the 18th of March 1994 in the small Swedish town of Svanberga, ATLAS (real name Daniel Jorgensen) first discovered his love for music when he participated in his school's production of the Sound of Music. After achieving a degree in music production at the University of Stockholm, Daniel travelled across the globe to the United States to work alongside legendary music producer, Timbaland. His early music influencers were the likes of David Guetta and Armin Van Buuren. Growing up in Sweden, Daniel played football from the age of 6 and his talent led to him being inducted into the academy of Malmo FF. However his interests and aspirations lay elsewhere so with a heavy heart Daniel left the academy at the age of 14 in order to focus on his dream of becoming a musician. A trained pianist from the age of 7, Daniel focused most of his only music work around his piano, with his musical education allowing him to adapt a strong beat around it. Daniel decided to take the stage name ATLAS as a way for his audience to relate to him on a single name basis which would be easier to pronounce than Jorgensen. His meteoric rise had been predicted by his music mentor, Timbaland, who stated 'Daniel is a guy who is able to deliver a song that has global appeal with a click of his fingers'.
